[ They made it through the first few days and honestly? It already feels like it's been too long. Natsuo's made some friends, sort of, he still feels that worthlessness in that there's really nothing he can do to help the situation.

Except.

There's only one person he's promised to destroy and that's Joshua Felix Chan. ]

[Since she was in her robes when she was taken, she doesn't have her phone on her.]

God, I wish I had my phone on me. But I don't have it with me. We could put his name on a dartboard or something. That might help.

[randori]

I dunno if there's a game room anywhere with dartboards, but let's go to the kitchen! There's cutting boards there and lots of knives! People can stab his name when they come in to cook food.

[ Everybody can spite him! it'll be a nice community thing ]

[That does sound like a good and productive use of their time.]

Have you seen a non-toxic marker around?

[randori]

No, but- you've seen a toxic one?

Actually, I haven't seen any markers around at all.

[randori]

All we need is a stick, though. Did you see those wall— [ "wall carpets," which people keep giving him weird looks for saying and they've informed him those are called ~tapestries~ ]

The tapestries! The one one soaked in ink! We just gotta take some of that and use it to write.

Only one of them is soaked in ink. Do you think there's a reason for it?

Do you have an ink jar?

[randori]

[ He shakes his head, at both those questions ]

I dunno. A prank or something? There's lots of real rude people around here who'd do something like that. But anyways, we don't need an ink jar- we just need a jar! Or a cup. Nothing that fancy.

We can probably find a cup in the kitchen. How are we going to write?

... Did you see the list of titles? Apparently everybody here corresponds to one of them.

[randori]

[ Natsuo holds his hands up, gives his fingers a little wiggle. ] We can finger paint.

And yeah, I saw it. But I dunno what any of it means? Do you?

Fair enough. Better be careful about it though.

Everybody has a title, right? And something they're supposed to do. For some kind of reward.

... Do you think it's worth it?

[randori]

I think it's worth it! Any sort of reward is better than nothing, right? And we've got all these people out here that can help everybody do what they're supposed to do! We can help each other out and it'll be easy for everybody to get their rewards that way!

[ haha how optimistic ]

Is yours really easy? What did you end up getting?

I feel like mine should be easy, but I don't know enough to actually be willing to do it yet.

[randori]

Mine is... uh... kinda embarrassing? [ It's really embarrassing and his optimism slips just a little. ]

Whatever yours is, I'll help you do it!! No matter what, I'll help you! We can help each other with ours, but I'll get it if you say no to mine.

[They definitely said to be careful about their titles, didn't they? But she doubts Natsuo will do anything bad with hers.

So she chews on her bottom lip for a moment before spilling.]

I'm... supposed to be the Little Mermaid. So I need to be silent for an entire week. I don't even know if I can do that for an hour.

[randori]

Oh crap, that's hard! [ Natsuo can barely keep quiet for a minute? Especially when there's people around and he likes talking. ] That's not fair- how's anybody supposed to do that?!

[ It's not even just words, it sounds like, but any sort of noise, be it laughing or coughing. ]

I'll think of some way! I'll for sure think of some way for you to do it!

It might be worth it for what they give.

[But she has no idea what that might be.]

... What about you? If you're going to help me I should probably help you too.

[randori]

[ He has no clue either, and the best he can come up with at the moment is a strip of masking tape, but they'll have plenty of time later to mull over it. ]

I'm supposed to, uh... sleep in other people's beds overnight or something. Three of 'em. I'm Goldilocks.

[ It's weird. It's really weird, especially with people already not liking sharing their bed with one person, let alone sandwiching three people on one mattress. Fighting a bear or whatever Goldilocks ended up doing might be easier. ]

Well... the beds are at least big enough to fit three people. That might not be too bad!

It might be awkward asking them while they're there, but hm... I wouldn't mind that much. Besides, we can look out for each other.

[randori]

Eh- you're sure it's okay? You're rooming with somebody else too, right? And, you know... [ gestures to himself ]

It's fine. You're a kid, she's a kid. Maybe you'll bond?

She's two but she definitely doesn't look like it.

Besides, it's probably safer in a trio than alone or in a pair. Especially when bodies start turning up.

[randori]

Two? [ WHO IS THIS CHILD. He was going to say he was worried about kicking in his sleep but with a toddler in bed that's even worse omg ]

—Never mind that! There aren't going to be any bodies! I'm not going to let that happen!!

She looks like a teenager. I don't know, she said it was complicated and I just believed her. There's too much that's weird to argue about that.

I'd really like it if that were true. But we're going to have to make it out of the first week to see for sure.
