6/12: Eichi, Akechi

[ It's cold. It's super super cold... For as excited as Natsuo was to have the castle grounds open up, he immediately retreats back inside and refuses to acknowledge snow so early in the year. Snow is Christmas and winter break and happiness and New Years and... honestly, his last new years was spend sitting in his living room alone, eating a cup ramen in front of the television while both his parents left on a cruise without him.

Lonely!!!

But not this time— He's not going to let snow bring him down every time he sees it, and he's not going to spend his time all alone either. Late Tuesday, there's a muffled series of thumps on Eichi's and Akechi's door- ]

Open up! Open up!!

[ The muffled thumping is Natsuo kicking at the door and he's dragged his entire heavy red velvet bed sheets along with him, thrown over his head like a hood and cloak.

Did he even tell them he was coming? Doesn't matter; these are courtesy knocks and the doors don't have locks. ]

[Hmmm.] Since I'm the innocent third party here, I'll decide that Akechi-kun's dare is invalid! No sleeping allowed at a sleepover. Try again~.

Yeah, Akechi-kun! Being boring is banned tonight!

[ he'll flop down onto the bed on his stomach and that's the extent of his pretending, be glad ]

Give me a more fun dare, or ask me a question I have to answer truthfully instead!

[HE DOESN'T. . . KNOW WHAT A FUN DARE IS]

I never said I would be very good at this. . .

[ugh]

Then I dare you to. . . do a handstand?

[still boring as fuck]

I bet Natsuo-kun can do a wonderful handstand.

[This seems better to him... he knows nothing of dares. Also he's sitting on the bed like a good, polite boy, for the record.]

[ He's never done a handstand in his life but this is what dares are for ig. The process is simple enough— he's lying on the bed, so he does it right here, which probably makes things harder for him than if he did it on the hard ground but— hands on the mattress, feet kicking up! legs straight for all of half a second before he topples right off the edge of the bed and goes slamming into the ground.

BOLTS UPRIGHT ] Okay, done! Now it's my turn— Eichi, truth or dare!!

[OKAY, NATSUO]

[but thank god Akechi is free, he just leans back and exhales deeply in relief. yes, thank god, don't come after him just yet]

[He applauds for that handstand, and he's still laughing about it when the next question is turned on him. Oh? Oh, right!]

Let's see... dare?

Then- you're an idol, right? I dare you to use your catchphrase on us! Like, whatever you say to your fans, blowing them a kiss or doing heart hands or whatever!!

[ he knows female idols... I'm imagining Eichi going "Nico Nico Nii~" with the hand motions and everything

[That gets a chuckle.]

My unit, Fine, is one overflowing with talent unrivaled by any others. [Fine, for the record, is pronounced "fee-nay", like the musical term and also from an Italian word.] My goal is to create tranquility and appreciation in the audience with our music, and so we're not as generic as to truly have something like a "catchphrase," I think. Not like those other schools.

However, if I had to choose something close to it...

[Hmm, he closes his eyes, gathers all of his energy, and then with a dazzling smile that looks like he came straight out of ouran high school host club, he places one hand over his heart.]

I'm "fine", thank you. ☆

[ Are you getting dokis, Akechi? Natsuo's getting dokis.

But he's also like. Laughing. Silent laughter that has him doubled over, pressing his forehead against the edge of the mattress. ]

That's great! That's so great! Incredible.

[Akechi doesn't get dokis??? ew??? gross???]

[He has the hidden dokis, don't lie. Eichi is just smiling as he watches Natsuo, like he still feels like he's done his job. Maybe he has doki senses.]

Now then, it's my turn, isn't it? I'm able to say, Akechi-kun, dare or truth?

[ Doki senses... Natsuo has as terrible time of hiding it, face red when he lifts it up and stares at Akechi expectantly. Dare. Choose dare. ]

[glances at Natsuo, and it's like he can read the expectant excitement on his features, becaaaaause]

Why is it that you really shy away from physical contact? Something like a need for space can't explain the reactions you give, you know.

[ LOOKS AT AKECHI SO FAST HIS NECK CRICKS ]

It's not 'cause of me, is it?!

[ The whole... almost killing him every time they meet, thing. I'd be scared too. ]

As I said before, I simply appreciate my personal space. Is that really so bad?

That's something of a lie, isn't it? Either not enough, or not it at all. We have the same method of reacting to these things, you know? You can't defeat me.

[While he's saying all this he does reach over to pat Natsuo... on the knee this time, thankfully.]

[ It's really only the head that Natsuo shies away from (karate chops hurt? noogies hurt. flicks on the forehead hurt. hands coming towards his head are kinda scary that way), but the pat on his knee barely gets a reaction at all. That does make him think, though. ]

Is it 'cause you're scared of getting hurt? We're all friends here, do you don't have to be.

[ until trial day. then be very scared. ]

[WOW NATSUO, HOW STRAIGHT ON THE NOSE]

You're both looking too deeply into it. It's nothing so serious, I assure you.

Natsuo-kun, what do we give him for a penalty if he's clearly lying?

[ If Akechi is so scared of physical contact, the obvious punishment is this, right?

Natsuo gets up and walk around to stand on the opposite side of Akechi, arms outstretched to either side of him. It's a Group Hug, and there's no escape. ]

[SCREAMS!!!]

Natsuo-san, I'd rather not!

[he's trying to escape. stop him]

There's no escape, Akechi-kun. Relax and accept your fate. ♪

[That, of course, means he's grabbing his wrist with that powerful grip before he goes in for the group hug as well. Make it a good squeeze!!]
